UTSA - Letters of Recommendation

*Note: The following information applies to applications for the University of Texas San Antonio only.

If your application requires letters of recommendation or reference, you will be asked to provide the recommender’s name, email address, and possibly other information such as their relationship to you. Once you have entered this information and are satisfied that it is correct, click “Save & send request”. An email will be sent to your recommender containing instruction and a link to the online form that they will complete on your behalf.

Once all the required recommender information has been entered and the requests have been sent, you will see this marked as complete on your Application Checklist.

You can also check on the status of your recommendations on your Application Checklist. Once a recommendation has been submitted, it will show as “completed” next to the recommender’s name. If the recommendation has not yet been submitted, you will see the option to “Resend request” next to the recommender’s name. You can click this to resend the email request to the recommender in case they have lost the email sent previously, or perhaps they overlooked the email.
